It was a beautiful summer night in the Kanto region: shining half-moon, a gentle breeze from time to time and barely a cloud in the sky, which meant you could see so many stars. One newly married couple was taking advantage of all this. At the Ketchum house in Pallet town, Ash and Serena stood next to each other, looking out the window of Ash’s bedroom. Both had changed into pajamas, hanging up her wedding dress and his tuxedo in the closet. “It’s a beautiful night.” Serena said idly. “Yeah, it is.” Ash said. “But a bit too quiet. We need something…” Ash stepped away from the window and moved to his desk. He switched on a radio, adjusting the volume down a little before returning to stand with Serena again. “That’s better.” Ash said as soft music filled the room. Serena smiled. “It is nice. But make sure you keep it down. My mom and yours are asleep downstairs, remember. We don’t want to wake them up.” Ash stifled a laugh. “Yeah, you could tell they were exhausted. The wedding
At last the day has arrived. The sun rises on Ash and Serena’s wedding day. Everyone woke up with different feelings that day. At the Ketchum house, Delia and Grace woke up early, more excited than nervous. Both of them had barely said good morning to each other before they were deep in final plans for the ceremony. At the pokemon center and the nearby hotel, many of the wedding staff and their families woke up feeling strangely calm. May and Dawn had no trouble telling themselves what they’d be doing and set to getting ready with ease. Brock did a final run through of his ingredients and supplies before calmly taking his breakfast. Professor Oak made a few calls to confirm his research could wait, then went to collect his suit in town. Clemont woke up rattled. Still nervous about his position as one of the best men, he couldn’t eat breakfast and instead spent the time pacing round his room trying to calm himself. Bonnie was the opposite. So excited for Ash and Serena, she
As the last few days before Ash and Serena’s wedding rapidly disappear, everyone does their best to make sure everything is set for the special day.
At the Ketchum house, Delia and Grace sat in the living room going back and forth on a list for the wedding. “The set-up is all done now?” Delia asked.
Grace nodded. “The layout is all set, and anything that is put away can be easily set up on the day of the ceremony.”
Delia ticked off a point on her fingers. “The ceremony itself?”
“Professor Oak is ready, and he was able to postpone his research so he will not be distracted.” Grace answer
With the weather clear and the flights arranged, everyone starts to gather for the rehearsal and final preparations for Ash and Serena’s wedding. Several friends had already arrived, and now the wait was on for the others.
At the professor’s lab, Ash and Serena lounged on the grass in the shade of a tree near the gate. Pikachu dozed at their feet as they watched the road for signs of movement.
“You know we can’t guarantee everyone will make it.” Serena said.
Ash glanced up the road before answering. “But we did hear back from people who are involved in the ceremony. So there should be some people coming
Before the official wedding of Ash and Serena, their mother’s decided it would be best to have a wedding rehearsal to get things organized. That way, they could plan out everything beforehand and things would go more smoothly during the ceremony.
But it seemed the chaos of a wedding applies to the rehearsal as well. Ash walked into the kitchen to find no sign of his mother. “That’s funny.” He said. “Where could she be?”
Pikachu followed Ash into the kitchen. “Pi?” He said. Then his ears twitched and he looked out towards the hall. “Pikachu.” He said to Ash, pointing.

With Ash’s half of the invitations sent, we join Serena in Kalos the morning after she spoke to him. Her morning Rhyhorn training done, Serena checked her e-mail to see if anyone had replied back to her invites.
“That’s strange. No word from anyone about the wedding yet.” Serena said. Shutting down the computer, she went into the kitchen for breakfast.
Grace looked up from the morning paper. “Morning Serena. Anyone ask about the wedding?”
Serena shook her head as she sat down at the table and poured herself a glass of juice. “Nothing yet mom.” She said. Taking a sip, Serena looked thoughtful.
A few days after Ash and Serena parted ways for their respective regions, we join Ash at home putting the final touches on his half of the wedding invites. Seated at the home computer, he typed in the final name.
“Add the notice, and done.” Ash said. Clicking the mouse, he added the completed invitation to the list of other ones. “Now, let’s make sure we have them all.”
Picking up a notepad on the desk beside him, Ash ran through the list of names, making sure he had an invitation set up for each. Reaching the bottom of the list, he nodded.
“All right, that’s everyone on my half. Time to send these
Ash looked at Serena. “A summer wedding? At the end of this summer?” He looked at his mom, and Grace on the vid-phone. “I’m ok with that, but it will put a bit of a rush on the moms to get things ready.”
Delilah smoothed a few wrinkles from her shirt and held up the dress catalogue. “I’m certainly willing to try.” She said. “How about you Grace?”
Grace held up her notepad in one hand and a pencil in the other. “Ready, willing and able.” She said. “If you two are ready to get married, we’ll make it happen.”
“Yes! A summer wedding!” Serena s
In a diner in Saffron city, at a table near the window, Ash and Serena sat side by side looking through the catalogue Serena had got from the shop. Two empty plates sat nearby on the table, waiting for the waitress to come by and collect them, and Pikachu sat perched on the table beside them so he could see the catalogue too.
“That dress in the store window isn’t the only version of it that they offer.” Serena said. “I like this one. Almost like a long, flowing evening gown.”
“Yeah, but remember,” Ash said, taking a sip of his glass of water. “If you wear it for your wedding dress, you’ll
Traveling from place to place, town to town can be fun or dull depending on how you do it. Some people prefer to fly, or travel by vehicle. Others enjoy using public transport, either underground or overland. There are many different ways to travel.
For some, the best way to do it is to walk. You meet all kinds of people on the open road, you see the sights up close and it’s easy to make changes to your path when something comes up. For one group of travelers, it was these reasons and more that make walking the way they enjoy to travel.
